Hi, I’m Braghan!
Welcome to my delicious adventures in cooking! I am a self-taught home cook who creates and photographs all the recipes you’ll find here at Whiskful Cooking.
About Me
First off, I have a passion for cookies… I mean cooking. Well, let’s start honestly here: I love cookies and cooking! And I love to try new things. So cooking has always been a place for me to do both.
I’m a wife, follower of Christ, and stay-at-home mom to 4 kids and two messy dogs. They all keep me on my toes constantly. So when I’m not scraping up Play-Doh from the carpet, throwing a tennis ball for the millionth time, napping in the school pickup line, or tripping over the latest superhero toy, you can find me in my happy place- the kitchen.
Once my husband Ryan and I got married almost 15 years ago, one of our favorite things to do together was create recipes in the kitchen. We would start making traditional homecooked meals but then add a little of this and a dash of that until we made what we thought was the perfect dish. A few years later, we had kids, and now it’s more like, “Hurry, there are 15 minutes left to eat until one kid needs a nap, one needs to take a bath, one is headed to sports practice, and the other is scooping peanut butter from the jar using a lightsaber”.
What You Will Find On Whiskful Cooking
Most of my delicious mouth-watering recipes are quick and easy that you and your family will enjoy making over and over again. Whether you’re in the mood for hearty dinners and comforting sides or old-fashioned desserts and kid-friendly snacks, I have just the recipes for you. I create and test them several times, often making and correcting mistakes so you don’t have to stress while you’re in the kitchen. All of my recipes are filled with ideas and tips to help you make the best possible food within your time frame and budget. And don’t worry, I have ideas that even your pickiest eaters will be begging you to make for dinner. Because I know just how hard it is to have to stomach chicken nuggets for the 10th time in a row.
My Favorite Recipes
I like all the classic family recipes that bring back many memories, like an old-fashioned pie or a comforting bowl of soup, often adding a little twist to make it my own. Here are just a few I make and enjoy.
My Kids’ Favorite Recipes
All the kids have a sweet tooth, so they love a sweet breakfast like pancakes with all the toppings, cinnamon rolls, or french toast. These are some of the top requests that I make for them regularly.
