Notes
Helpful Tips:
Add jalapeno seeds for a spicier flavor.
Roma tomatoes are the most popular type of tomato used in salsa due to their lower water and seed content.
1 teaspoon of minced garlic can be substituted for fresh.
The salsa becomes more flavorful the longer it marinades in the refrigerator.
For a less strong onion flavor, reduce to 1/3 of an onion or use sweet onions.
This makes roughly 4 cups of salsa but that will be dependent on the size of the fresh vegetables.
Storage:
Store salsa in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
