Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 sesame seed burger buns toasted
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 12 dill pickle slices

Sauce

  • 3/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  • In a pan over medium heat, add turkey and onion. Cook until meat is no longer pink and onions are translucent. Add in Worcestershire sauce and reduce heat to simmer.
  • Make the sauce in a small bowl by stirring together Thousand Island dressing and mayonnaise. Pour 3/4 of the sauce into the pan and mix together until well combined.
  • Assemble the sandwiches by stacking: burger bun bottom, lettuce, cheese, 4 pickles, meat mixture, extra sauce, and a bun top. Enjoy!

Notes

Tips:
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an air-tight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • If using extra lean turkey or ground turkey breast, add around a teaspoon of butter to the pan while cooking to prevent the meat from sticking.
* Cook times and nutritional values are estimates due to variations in cookware and ingredient brands.
