Homemade Guacamole is so easy to make with creamy avocados, onions, cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. The best dip for tortilla chips, topped on tacos, or spread on sandwiches and burgers for any meal and get-together!
Cut avocados lengthwise in half and separate. Remove pit. Scoop out contents into a medium-sized bowl. Roughly mash the avocado but allow it to remain a little chunky.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
How to store guacamole:
Place guacamole in an air-tight container and smooth out the top surface. Pour a 1/2-inch deep layer of water over the surface. Cover with plastic wrap and try to gently remove any air bubbles. Store in the refrigerator When ready to serve, pour off the water and stir just before serving.
How to determine if the avocado is ripe:
Look for avocados that appear dark and are soft to the touch. There should be some give to them when you press your finger firmly on the outside.
The stem should be attached. If it has fallen off, sometimes that is a good indication that the avocado is too ripe.
