Ingredients

  • 4 cups baking mix such as Bisquick
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning

Buttery Topping

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together baking mix, cheese, milk, garlic powder, and Old Bay seasoning just until combined. Scoop dough around 2 tablespoonfuls in size and drop onto parchment paper. (If the dough is too sticky, spray the spoon or scoop with cooking spray)
  • Bake 10-12 minutes until cooked through and the tops are golden brown.

Buttery Topping

  • While the biscuits are baking, whisk together melted butter, parsley, and garlic in a small bowl. Immediately when the biscuits come out of the oven, brush the tops with the buttery mixture.
  • Optional: for crispy tops, pop the biscuits back in the oven for about 3 minutes after brushing with butter for a crispier top.

Notes

Storage:
Store up to 3 days in an air-tight container at room temperature. One thing to note- the tops will start to soften the longer they sit at room temperature. To crisp up the tops, just air fry or pop them in the oven for a couple of minutes before serving.
To freeze, completely cool the biscuits after baking and then individually wrap them in aluminum foil or freezer paper and store them in an air-tight freezer bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.
