These Easy 20-Minute Cheddar Bay Biscuits are flaky, buttery biscuits filled with cheddar cheese and a hint of Cajun spice. A delicious compliment to any hearty soup or main meal.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together baking mix, cheese, milk, garlic powder, and Old Bay seasoning just until combined. Scoop dough around 2 tablespoonfuls in size and drop onto parchment paper. (If the dough is too sticky, spray the spoon or scoop with cooking spray)
Bake 10-12 minutes until cooked through and the tops are golden brown.
Buttery Topping
While the biscuits are baking, whisk together melted butter, parsley, and garlic in a small bowl. Immediately when the biscuits come out of the oven, brush the tops with the buttery mixture.
Optional: for crispy tops, pop the biscuits back in the oven for about 3 minutes after brushing with butter for a crispier top.
Notes
Storage:Store up to 3 days in an air-tight container at room temperature. One thing to note- the tops will start to soften the longer they sit at room temperature. To crisp up the tops, just air fry or pop them in the oven for a couple of minutes before serving. To freeze, completely cool the biscuits after baking and then individually wrap them in aluminum foil or freezer paper and store them in an air-tight freezer bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.~Nutritional values and cook times are approximate due to differences in appliance and product selections.
